SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Nevada (28-13, 10-4 MW) opened its doubleheader at San Diego State (20-19, 5-9 MW) with a composed, late‑inning push to secure a 7–4 win in the opener before rolling to a 13–2 run‑rule victory in game two, completing a dominant sweep Wednesday at SDSU Softball Stadium.

Nevada set the tone in game one by responding to SDSU's early scoring with consistent pressure, keeping the Aztecs off the board for three straight innings. In the sixth, Hannah Di Genova launched her 17th home run of the season, tying the program's single-season home run record, and Talia Tretton followed with a solo shot to swing the momentum firmly in the Pack's favor.

Katie Wetteland added a triple and double as part of a two‑hit, two‑RBI performance, while Haylee Engelbrecht delivered two hits and an RBI.

In the circle, Tess Bumiller earned the win with 3.2 innings of one‑run work, and Ainsley Berlingeri closed the seventh to record the save. Nevada's defense backed the staff with two double plays, stalling multiple SDSU threats.

The Pack carried that momentum directly into the second game, erupting for five runs in the second inning and never slowing down with a 13–2 run‑rule win. Nevada added three more runs in the third inning and a four‑run fifth to put the game out of reach.

Madison Clark led the offense with a three‑hit, three‑RBI performance, while Di Genova added three RBIs and scored twice. Tretton stayed hot with two more hits, and Matlyn Leetch reached base three times, finishing 2‑for‑2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Lexi O'Gorman and Anna Braukus each contributed run‑producing swings as Nevada continued to apply pressure in every inning.

Berlingeri earned the win with four efficient innings, allowing just two runs with no walks, and Hailey McLean handled the fifth to close out the run‑rule victory.

The sweep moves the Pack to 28–13 overall and 10–4 in Mountain West play as they return home to Christina M. Hixson Softball Park to take on the Lobos with strong momentum heading into the weekend.
