Edgar Jones (1975-79/ Basketball)





Edgar Jones was a four-year starter for Nevada from 1975-76 and 1978-79. He is the all-time leading scorer for the university with 1,877 points in 101 games, or 18.6 points a game for his entire career. He is second on the all-time rebounding list at 1,116 or 11.1 per game. Jones was first team ALL-West Coast Athletic Conference in 1976-77 and second team in 1975-76 and 1977-78. During his four years with the team, the Wolf Pack was 67-41, including 21-7 in 1978-79 when the team got a National Invitational Tournament Bid. Jones went on to a successful National Basketball Association career with New Jersey, Detroit.

Nyasha LeSure

Women's Basketball

Junior Nyasha LeSure started off 2015 in a big way, scoring a career-high 18 points during a 76-53 Mountain West opening win at Air Force. The 6-0 forward came off the bench and she shot 70 percent (7-of-10) from the floor and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the foul line. LeSure also added five rebounds, a career-high three assists and a season-high two blocked shots to her stat line for the day.
