Padgett was West Coast Athletic Conference newcomer of the year and second team all conference as a freshman basketball player in 1973. From then on, it was three straight all-conference years, 1974-76. He was the UNR career rebounding leader by a wide margin with 1,464 (14.1 per game) and, although he never led a team in scoring any individual year, he was third on the all-time scoring with 1,642 (15.8 per game). His rebounding figures led the WCAC four straight years. At the time of being Inducted into the Hall of Fame he was still the WCAC career assist leader with 784 (conference games only). 2016-17 Student Athlete of the Week
Sophomore Lindsey Drew was named the all-tournament team at Great Alaska Shootout. Drew averaged 8.3 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 6.7 points per game as the Wolf Pack reached the title game. In the win over Oakland he dished out a career-high nine assists then had eight in each of the next two games.
