Doug Betters (1977/ Football)

Doug Betters transferred form the University of Montana and played just one year, 1977, at Nevada as a defensive tackle. He led all linemen with 72 tackles and led the team in quarterback sacks with 10, and recorded seven other tackles for losses. He was named Division II All-America by the Associated Press, and was drafted in the sixth round by the Miami Dolphins. His professional career includes over a decade of starting at defensive and for the Dolphins, two Super Bowl appearances, several years selected All-Pro, and his selection as professional football’s defensive player of the year in 1983.

Marqueze Coleman

Men's Basketball

Senior Marqueze Coleman averaged 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals playing 37 minutes per game as the Wolf Pack split two road games.  Coleman scored a career-high 34 points at Hawai`i with 32 coming in the second half then totaled 31 in the Pack's first victory at Pacific in 10 years.
