Doug Betters (1977/ Football)

Doug Betters transferred form the University of Montana and played just one year, 1977, at Nevada as a defensive tackle. He led all linemen with 72 tackles and led the team in quarterback sacks with 10, and recorded seven other tackles for losses. He was named Division II All-America by the Associated Press, and was drafted in the sixth round by the Miami Dolphins. His professional career includes over a decade of starting at defensive and for the Dolphins, two Super Bowl appearances, several years selected All-Pro, and his selection as professional football’s defensive player of the year in 1983.

Tyler Stewart


Quarterback Tyler Stewart engineered a masterful performance for the Wolf Pack in a 35-17 victory over New Mexico. Stewart accounted for a season-high four touchdowns while helping the team set season-best marks in points (35), total offense (517), first downs (30) and yards per play (7.1). He completed 16-of-19 passes for 166 yards and two scores while rushing nine times for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
