Kirk Triplett (1981-85/ Golf)





Triplett was an Academic All-American for the men’s golf team, graduation with a degree in civil engineering  in 1985. Since joining the PGA Tour in 1989, Triplett, 38, was one of the Tour’s most consistent players. He ranked among the PGA’s top 50 money winners five times. 2000 was his finest season to date, as Triplett amassed more than $1,5 million in prize money. He pocketed $558,000 or his winning effort at the Nissan Open on Feb. 20 2000. A native of Lewiston, Ida., he now lives in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Jordan Pearce

Baseball

Sophomore Jordan Pearce led the Nevada baseball team to a 3-1 week with an extra-innings nonconference win over Grand Canyon and a rivalry series victory over UNLV. On the week, Pearce batted .429 with six hits, nine RBI, four runs, one double, two triples and one home run. Pearce’s efforts helped Nevada clinch Governor’s Series points in baseball for the second straight season.
