Triplett was an Academic All-American for the men’s golf team, graduation with a degree in civil engineering in 1985. Since joining the PGA Tour in 1989, Triplett, 38, was one of the Tour’s most consistent players. Junior Mark Nowaczewski allowed one run and tied his career-high with six strikeouts in eight innings as the Wolf Pack defeated Fresno State 7-3 to clinch the Mountain West series. Nowaczewski earned back-to-back MW Pitcher of the Week honors for his performance.
