Bob Robinett (1938-40/ Football)





Robinett was a member of the Nevada football team in the late 1930’s, lettering in 1938 through 1940, as an All-Far West Conference player each year. He played various offensive and defensive line positions, and made all-conference at five different positions while at Nevada. He was co-captain of the 1939 team and captain of the 1940 squad. The 1939 Wolf Pack won the Far Western Championship. He was recognized by the Saturday Evening Post as one of the three top players on the University of Nevada team along with (previously inducted) Marion Motley and John Polish. Following his collegiate and U.S. navy career, Robinett had a distinguished education and coaching career at several West Coach colleges and junior colleges, and was the General Manager of the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League from 1953-57.

Men's Tennis

The 2015 Mountain Co-Player of the Year, helped Nevada to a second place finish at the MW Championship. It is the highest MW finish by a Wolf Pack team since joining the conference. Chargui teamed with Robert Allan to win all three doubles matches at the championship. He went 2-0 in singles play. His singles win in the championship match was the 72nd in his Nevada career and is tied for the school record.
