Pack Offense Threatening to Rewrite Record Book

The Nevada softball team currently holds a record of 20-13, and will begin conference play this weekend against Fresno State. A story in itself, the improvement in the win column (Nevada has 20 games remaining and is one win away from last season's win total of 21) is made even more interesting by how the Wolf Pack is doing it.

Currently, Nevada is on pace to break 13 team or individual offensive records and is within shouting distance of two more. With the return of Erin Jones from injury, and additions of freshmen Megan Sweet and Jasmine Jenkins, the Pack has put together one of the Team_UNC_sized (5).jpgmost potent offenses in the Mountain West.

As a team, Nevada is hitting .328, with a slugging percentage of .527 and an on-base percentage of .420. Should those numbers hold up, they would each set a new Nevada record. In addition, the Pack has a total of 68 doubles, 36 home runs and 105 extra-base hits in 33 games.
