A new era begins as Nevada opens spring ball

The Nevada football team opened spring practice on Wednesday with a sharp two-hour workout at Wolf Pack Park.

Eighty-seven players were on the field for the Wolf Pack, under the direction of first-year coach Brian Polian. Wednesday marked the first of the 15 allowable practices during the spring session.

While practices are closed to the public and media, Wolf Pack football alumni can attend. And each of the three scrimmages, including the Silver and Blue Spring Game presented by St. Mary's are open to the public at Mackay Stadium.
