Chris Ault: The top offensive mind in college football.

Nevada football coach Chris Ault enters his 28th season at Nevada this year and the Hall of Fame coach has a storied tradition of innovative and high-powered offenses. This goes back to his power rushing attacks in the early 1980s featuring Hall of Fame running back Frank Hawkins to the "Air Wolf" offenses in the 1990s when Nevada led the nation in passing.

His Pistol offense debuted in 2005 and the results have been nothing but spectacular with a pair of WAC titles and a No. 11 ranking in the 2010 season. The Pistol offense produced the only trio of 1,000-yard rushers in NCAA history in 2009 when Colin Kaepernick, Luke Lippincott and Vai Taua all eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark. And Kaepernick finished his career tied atop the NCAA charts for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 59.

Now, Ault has been tabbed by one publication as the top offensive mind in college football.
