RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada cross country team will compete at the Bronco Invitational Saturday at Baylands Regional Park in Sunnyvale, Calif. The meet is hosted by Santa Clara University.
The women's 5,000-meter race will start at 9:45 a.m. A field of 33 teams will attend the race. In addition to Nevada, other WAC teams running in the Invitational include Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii and San Jose State.
"Baylands is a fast, firm course, and this race is a real confidence builder right before conference," said head coach Kirk Elias. "We really look forward to it."
Nevada enters the Bronco Invitational after a second place team finish at the Nevada Chase Race Oct. 2. Redshirt junior Jenifer McEntire led the Wolf Pack with a fifth place overall finish. McEntire also led Nevada at the Sundodger Invitational Sept. 15 with her 15th place overall finish. Sophomore Samantha Diaz finished second overall to lead the Pack to a third place team finish at the Twilight Meet Sept. 3.
The Wolf Pack travel to Moscow, Idaho for the WAC Championships on Oct. 30.
