Cross country ranked No. 13 in USTFCCCA Mountain Region

RENO, Nev. -

The University of Nevada cross country team was ranked No. 13 in the Mountain Region preseason poll that was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association this week.

The Mountain region includes teams from the Mountain West, Western Athletic, Pac-12, Big West, West Coast, Big Sky, and Big-12 conferences.  Colorado from the Pac-12 was picked to finish first, followed by New Mexico from the Mountain West and Weber State from the Big Sky. Joining Nevada and New Mexico from the Mountain West in the top-15 were Colorado State (No.6), Air Force (No. 8), Utah State in (No. 11), and Wyoming (No. 15).

The Wolf Pack will be in action for the first time this Friday, as they host the Nevada Chase Race at Rancho San Rafael Park.
