Prior to Nevada: Transferred from Portland State and sat out 2010 season with a stress fracture ... Competed in track & field and cross country.

High School: Earned three letters in track & field and cross country and one in swimming & diving at Galena High School in Reno, Nev. ... Named captain and MVP of cross country and track & field in 2009 ... Won first-team all-league honors in 2008 and 2009 in cross country and 2009 for the 1,600-meters and with the 4x800-meter relay team ... Member of the 2009 state champion 4x800-meter relay team ...
