NAME: Taylar Marie Rothfuss Height: 5'11" Position: Setter Hometown: Prescott, Arizona The Wolf Pack volleyball team will be fun to watch this year because: We are a group of girls who love each other as much as we love the game. For me to improve as a player I need to: Make my sets more consistent and hittable. My favorite pre-game ritual is: Warming up with the music and energy. My teammates would best describe me as: Hard working and caring. The best place on campus is: The Virginia Street Gym. What I like most about my hometown is: The people who made it worthwhile. Favorite thing about being at Nevada is: The volleyball environment. If I wasn't playing college volleyball I would be: Going to ASU with all my high school friends. A place I've never been but would love to visit: Ireland One moment in history I wish I could have seen: A Martin Luther King speech. Favorite class: Right now, Criminal Justice. Favorite food: Chicken pot pies. Least favorite food: Mexican food. Favorite color: Blue. Favorite movie: Inception. Favorite actor: Leonardo DiCaprio. Favorite actress: Rachel McAdams. Favorite TV show: Breaking Bad.
Most prized possession: A picture of my best friend Drew & me. Where I want to be 10 years from now: Living comfortably. If I could add one team to the schedule it would be and why: ASU or U of A. So that I could play in AZ. Favorite singer or group: Queen. I wear my number because: It is the year I graduated High School. Favorite song: Radioactive by Imagination Dragons. Favorite junk food: Mac & Cheese. Most impressive person you know: Drew Hicks. Person you would most like to trade places with for a day: Taylor Swift. Person who has most influenced your athletic career: Rachel Williams. The best advice you have ever been given: "Be like a tree. Stand tall, go out on a limb, remember your roots, be content with your natural beauty, drink plenty of water, enjoy the view." Why did you choose to attend Nevada: It was the most welcoming university I traveled to. The best book I have ever read: A Thousand Splendid Suns. If I could have dinner with any two people it would be: The crocodile hunter and Dane Cook. My greatest athletic accomplishment to date is: Junior year of high school beating Sunnyslope. If I won $1 million I would: Casually spend it and save some for future vacations. A friend from another college team is: Cierra Allen. The athlete I admire most: Logan Tom. My favorite sport other than volleyball is: Softball. If you could have any car, what would it be: A Jeep with accessories. My advice to kids is: Be nice to everyone. Individual goals for the season: Becoming a proud consistent setter. Biggest pet peeve: People being impolite or not giving someone the time of day. Earliest volleyball memory: My dad making me serve a ball at a wall for hours until I could serve over hand over the net. If I could be on a reality TV show it would be: The Real World Extreme sport I would like to try: Sky diving. If stranded on a desert island, three things I would take with me: A partner, a knife and matches.
