2008 NOTES

FOOTBALL FANS GET INTO SUNDAY’S SEATTLE MATCH FREE:  Wolf Pack fans who attend Saturday’s Nevada versus Texas Tech football game can use their ticket stub to watch the Pack volleyball match with Seattle University on Sunday for free.  Just bring your ticket stub from the football game and enjoy the volleyball match on Sunday.

NEVADA VOLLEYBALL TEAM TO HOLD FREE YOUTH CLINIC SATURDAY:
 The University of Nevada Volleyball Team will be hosting a free youth volleyball clinic on Saturday, September 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Wolf Pack East Athletic Complex located at 400 Bartlett Street which is near the University’s Hixson Park softball field.  The clinic is open to boys and girls in the first through eighth grades.
 Head Coach, Devin Scruggs, and her staff will be conducting the clinic along with current members of the Nevada volleyball team.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn some of the basic skills of volleyball as well as meet the team. Registration will take place the morning of the clinic from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Participants will also receive free admission to Sunday’s noon match between Nevada and Seattle University.   For more information, please call assistant volleyball coach, Ray Batalon at 775-682-6918.

HARRINGTON NAMED TO SHAMROCK INVITATIONAL ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
 University of Nevada sophomore outside hitter Kylie Harrington was named to the Shamrock Invitational All-Tournament team the opening weekend of the season as the Wolf Pack posted a 1-2 record in the three-day event played at the Joyce Center on the campus of Notre Dame University.  It is the first time Harrington has been named to an all-tournament squad in her  Pack career.
 She averaged 2.90 kills, 2.80 digs and 3.25 points per set in the three matches.  In the final two matches of the tournament she posted back-to-back double-doubles with 14 kills and 10 digs versus Notre Dame then followed that with 10 kills and 14 digs in the IPFW win.  The 14 digs versus IPFW established a new career high while the 14 kills in the Notre Dame match tied her career high.
