RENO, Nev. - The Silver team topped the Blue team, 2-1 (25-19, 25-13, 15-11), in the Nevada volleyball team's annual Silver & Blue intrasquad scrimmage at the Virginia Street Gym on Saturday evening.
Junior Taylar Rothfuss posted an efficient seven kills on eight attempts while freshman outside hitter Madison Foley tallied seven kills and two service aces in the Wolf Pack's final tune up before their season opener against Oral Roberts on Aug. 29 in the Pepperdine Asics Classic.
Head coach Ruth Lawanson and her staff mixed formations and lineups as players switched teams during the event.

After switching sides, Foley led the way for the Silver team in the second frame with three-straight kills and a service ace. With the help of three kills and a block from junior Sommer King, Silver did not surrender the lead for the remainder of the set.
In the final set, Foley and senior Tessa Lea'ea recorded back-to-back kills that set the tone for the Silver squad's 15-11 win in the deciding set.
