Nevada ends season with 3-0 loss at Boise State

BOISE, Idaho –  The University of Nevada (4-28, 2-18 MW) volleyball ended the season  with a 3-0 Mountain West loss at Boise State (14-16, 8-12 MW) on Friday night.  BSU swept the match by scores of 25-11, 25-20 and 25-19 to post at 14-16 overall record and go 8-12 in MW play.  The Wolf Pack finished its season 4-28 and 2-18 in the MW.

The Broncos scored the first three points of set one and did not trail in winning 25-11.  BSU broke a11 all tie with a 14-9 run to take the second set 25-20.  The third set was tied for the eighth time at 16 before a 9-3 BSU run resulted in a 25-19 victory and 3-0 match win.

Samantha Willoughby topped the Pack with seven kills.  Setters Dana Holt and Lyndsey Anderson each had 11 assists.

Alysa Gammell led BSU with 11 kills.  Casey Rose (21) and Sarah Baugh (19) each reached double figures in assists for the Broncos.  Hannah Hubbard had a match-high 12 digs.

Nevada hit .186 in the match while BSU hit .348.  The Pack had 6.5 blocks and the Broncos four.
