ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of Nevada volleyball team fell 3-0 (19-25, 19-25, 18-25) to the New Mexico Lobos on Thursday at the Johnson Center in Albuquerque.
The Wolf Pack fell to 4-24 (1-14 MW) with the loss, while New Mexico improved to 20-10 (7-6 MW) with the win.
Tessa Lea'ea continued a stellar sophomore season on Thursday night, leading Nevada with 10 kills and four blocks, two of the solo variety. On a night when hitting errors plagued the Pack offense, Lea'ea committed five errors and hit .192.
In total, the Nevada offense collected 31 kills, made 29 hitting errors and attempted 114 attacks for a .018 hitting percentage.
Mountain West Conference leader Chantale Riddle had a match-high 19 kills. The sophomore from Roswell, N.M now has 467 for the season.
Nevada will conclude its season in San Diego, taking on the San Diego State Aztecs on Tuesday at 7 p.m. There is no Mountain West Conference tournament this season. The regular-season champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, with the other teams available for at-large selection.
