RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada dropped a Mountain West match to Colorado State on Saturday night, falling 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-16) to the Rams at the Virginia Street Gym.
The Wolf Pack fell to 4-19 (1-9 MW), while the Rams improved to 14-7 (7-3 MW).
Nevada had chances in the first half of each set, but failed to stay with Colorado State late in each. With momentum swinging in CSU's favor as the match progressed, the Pack was unable to get the victory.
Nevada passed well for the duration of the match, seeing two players, Elissa Ji and Kelly Chang, record 13 digs for the team lead. Starting at setter for the second straight match, Taylar Rothfuss had 25 assists and six digs.
Tessa Lea'ea led the Pack with nine kills, followed closely by Janelle Batista with eight. Grace Anxo and Sam Willoughby left their mark on the match with offensive contributions as well. Anxo had six kills, while Willoughby added five.
Nevada will return to the road for its next match, taking on Fresno State at 7 p.m. on November 1.
