Pack Upended 3-0 by Fresno State

RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-22) to the Fresno State Bulldogs in a Mountain West tilt on Saturday at the Virginia Street Gym.

The Wolf Pack dropped to 4-14 (1-4 MW) with the loss, while the Bulldogs improved to 10-7 (3-2 MW) with their win.

After a slow start, Nevada played better in the third set, hanging with Fresno State in a set that saw 11 ties and five lead changes. Three players, Janelle Batista, Grace Anxo and Tessa Lea'ea led the Pack with six kills each. Lea'ea now has 214 kills in 2012 to lead Nevada and is the only member of the Pack to have more than 200.

Dana Holt had 20 assists in direction of the Wolf Pack offense. Two Nevada players, Anxo and Kelly Chang, had at least 10 digs. Anxo led Nevada with 11, while Chang picked up an even 10.

Nevada will return to the road next week, taking on Air Force at 6 p.m. on October 11 and Boise State at 6 p.m. on October 13.
