In the first set UCD took an 11-3 lead and went on to win 25-10. The Pack was held to a negative .182 attack percentage while the Aggies hit .350.
There were 13 ties and six lead changes in the second set but a couple of blocks at 23-23 gave UCD the 25-23 victory and 2-0 advantage in the match. Nevada improved its hitting percentage to .325 as did the Aggies to .432.
UCD scored the first three points of the third set and never trailed in winning 25-12 to take the match 3-0. For the second set in the match the Pack were held to a negative attack percentage at .115 and the Aggies hit .276.
Reno freshman Grace Anxo led the Pack with 10 kills while setter Tatiana Santiago dished out 22 assists. Santiago, Kelly Chang and Nicole Link all had seven digs to top Nevada.
Allison Whitson posted a match-high 15 kills for the Aggies and setter Jenny Woolway had 33 assists. Kayla Varney had a match-high 16 digs.
The Aggies hit .360 in the match and Nevada just .068. UCD finished with 10.5 blocks while Nevada had two.
Nevada will close out play in the invitational at 4:30 p.m. today versus Oregon State.
