Nevada Track and field finished its final regular season competition at the Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by Stanford University.
Raffaela Wiesbeck finished in first place of the javelin throw with a mark of 151’9”, the second best throw in the Mountain West this season. Her mark improves on her personal best, and is the ninth best throw in program history. Finishing right behind Wiesbeck in the Javelin was Alyssa Zunino who threw for 144’4”, which is the fifth best throw in the Mountain West this season. Savannah Haverfield also competed in the javelin throwing for 128’7”.
Nevada had two athletes in the shot put with Senior Kerri Simmons reaching a mark of 49’4.25”, and Kennedy Hall throwing 40’11.5”. Hall also competed in the hammer throw where she reached a mark of 136’10”.
Leah Carter had her best performance of the season in the high jump after she cleared a height of 5’7” which is tied for the eighth best in the Mountain West this season. Joining Carter in the event was sophomore Kinsey Minter who jumped 5’3”.
The Wolf Pack has a week and a half to rest and prepare for the Mountain West Outdoor Championships kicking off on May 14th and running through the 17th.
