RENO, Nev.- Members of the University of Nevada track and field team will be traveling to Berkeley, Calif., to participate in the Brutus Hamilton Invitational on Friday.
The pack competed at the event last year in what head coach Shantel Twiggs said was, "One of the best performances I have ever seen."
The Pack will try to live up to its previous performance and is looking for strong finishes in the final weekend before the Mountain West Championships.
Sophomore Anita Momodu will be competing in the 100 meter dash with a chance to improve her personal record of 11.97 seconds which currently is 8th on the Nevada all-time list. Momodu will be joined by Kennedy Hall who also had a Nevada all-time top-10 performance earlier this season with a throw of 44'3.25".
"This weekend our goal is to really go out and compete," Twiggs said, "Leaving nothing for later."
If the Pack can end their regular season with more top performances they will have plenty of confidence for the Mountain West Championships starting May 8th in Las Vegas. Check NevadaWolfPack.com for results after completion of the meet.
Other members of the team will be in Des Moines, Iowa, for the Drake Relays.
