Mt. SAC Relays and Clay Invite in action

Nevada track and field is in action across Southern California competing at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. and the Clay Invite in Azusa, Calif.
Competing in the Javelin Throw sophomore Alyssa Zunino threw for a mark of 131’5” to finish in fourth place. Her throw was the second best in her career.
The Pack had two high jumpers finish in the top 10 at the Clay Invite with Kinsey Minter finishing in third place, and Leah Carter finishing in seventh. By clearing a personal best height of 5’8” Minter placed her name on the Nevada All-Time Top-Ten list in 10th place. Carter cleared a height of 5’4.25” on her way to a top ten finish.
Mt. SAC Invitational:
Raffaela Wiesbeck finished eighth overall in the javelin throw with a mark of 145’3”. Her throw is just shy of her personal best, and tenth best time in school history, of 149’6”.
Senior thrower Kerri Simmons powered her way to a second place finish in the shot put reaching a mark of 51’3.5”. The mark was the best of the season for the school record holder, and is currently the third best throw among Mountain West competitors.
Sophomore Caitlin Devitt-Payne ran a personal best time of 4:32.97 in the 1,500-meter dash. Her time is the eighth fastest in school history, and also the eighth fastest time in the Mountain West this season.
Freshman Mofiyin Olusola ran a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles turning in a time of 14.50. Her time places her among the top 16 in the Mountain West this season.
Demerey Kirsch recorded an eighth place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase run on Thursday evening, with a time of 10:35.95. Kirsch ran the fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase in the Mountain West at competition earlier in the season.
