Nevada Track and field in sixth place

The University of Nevada track & field team is in sixth place going into the final day of the 2012 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center.
Utah State leads the team field with 70 points. New Mexico State is in second with 48. Fresno State is in third at 38 while Hawaii and Idaho have 36. Nevada has 29 points, sitting ahead of defending champion Louisiana Tech who has 15.
Nevada's La Tijera Avery led Nevada to a first place finish in the high jump, clearing a mark of 1.76m. Angelica Earls placed second with a 7.45 finish in the 60m event. Sophomore Samantha Diaz tied her personal best in the mile with a 4:42.46 finish to take second place. Deborah Amoah finished in third place in the 60m hurdles, clocking in at 8.69 to tie her personal best.
