RENO, Nev. -

WHAT'S HAPPENING

The University of Nevada Track and Field team will split this weekend, with part of the team heading to Seattle, Wash. to compete at the Husky Classic and the rest of the team travelling to Nampa, Idaho to compete in the Boise State Team Challenge. Both events will take place Friday and Saturday.

REGULAR SEASON FINALE

The weekend marks the final events of the regular season before the Indoor WAC Championships begin.

“The ladies are training hard and are truly committed to our team goals,” Head coach Shantel Twiggs said. “With most of our team having the weekend off, we are looking to build on our seasons performances.”

DIAZ AT HUSKY CLASSIC

Sam Diaz will represent Nevada in the Husky Classic, competing in the mile. “We are hoping to see Sam improve in the mile this weekend, from two weeks ago. She will have a great field to compete against and we are excited to see how the race unfolds.”

LOOK AT THE BOISE STATE CHALLENGE

Nevada will compete in a number of events in the Boise State Team Challenge which includes a field of several top ranked programs, Arizona (No.10), Arizona St. (No.21), and Utah St. (No.30) among others.

Kashae Knox and Angelica Earls return to action this weekend, both competing in the 60 m dash, 200 m, and 4 x 4 events. “Both ladies own a piece of the school record in the 60 m and I can see that record being in jeopardy again along with the 200 m record.”
