Track and Field Back in Action at the United Heritage Invitational





RENO, Nev. The University of Nevada track and field team will compete at the United Heritage Invitational in Boise, Idaho this Friday and Saturday.   

 

The collegiate women’s events start on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. with the 3000m run and conclude at 9:45 p.m. with the 200m dash.  On Saturday the collegiate women’s events begin at 10:30 a.m. with the women’s high jump and end at 2:20 p.m. with the 4x400 meter relay.

 

At Nevada’s last meet, the Blue and Orange Invitational on Jan. 24, the Pack posted several top-10 finishes including a second-place finish by Amanda Moreno in the 3000m run (10:20.07) and a second-place finish by Aurelia Houston in the triple jump (11.24m).  Polly Smith moved into eighth place all-time in the 800m with her fourth-place finish (2:15.84).

 

After this weekends meet Nevada will have one more weekend of competition, Feb. 14-15, before the WAC Indoor Championships Feb. 26-28.
