SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Deborah Amoah led the University of Nevada track and field team at the Hornet Invitational Saturday, finishing third in the 100-meter hurdles (14.16), third in the long jump (5.68m) and third in the triple jump (12.30m).
Other strong finishers for Nevada included Nicole Williams and Kashae Knox. Williams finished second in the high jump at 1.67 meters, while Knox placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.06. She was also ninth in the 200 meters at 25.08.
Freshman Anne Underwood finished seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.61, while Aislynn Mueller was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:04.30. Sarah Nichols was fourth in the Javelin, posting Nevada’s highest finish in a throwing event. She came in at a distance of 40.93 meters.
Nevada will compete again at the Cal-Nevada Championships on April 1 in Los Angeles, Calif.
