Volunteer Coach Collier Lawrence Achieves Olympics Trials A Standard

Lawrence imroves time in the 3000 Steeplechase

Collier Lawrence enters her fifth season at Nevada as a volunteer assistant cross country and track and field coach.

The Reno, Nev. native graduated from Washington State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Movement Studies. While at Washington State, Lawrence lettered in cross country and track and field. She was a two-time PAC 10 scorer (2006 and 2008) and three-time regional qualifier (2006-08) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Prior to joining the Nevada coaching staff, Lawrence was a student coach at Washington State (2008-09) and an assistant coach for the Junior Silver State Striders (2004-06).

Lawrence has continued to compete, racing in the Steeple Chase at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, and running professionally for the Oiselle Running Team. She has a brother who ran for Portland State University and a sister who also competes for the Oiselle Running Team.
