Women's Tennis Earns Two Titles

Moraga, Calif. - The Nevada women's tennis team won two titles last weekend including a singles championship which saw two Nevada players in the finals. The Wolf Pack also brought home a doubles title.
The Pack competed in the St. Mary's College Invitational which took place over three days, October 14th thru the 16th. The Pack had six athletes competing in the tournament.
Bach-Lan Pham finished the tournament 2-2 in singles and made it to the finals of the consolation A bracket. Pham paired with Myriam Bouchlaka in the B doubles bracket and went 5-0 to win the doubles championship defeating San Jose State 8-3. Bouchlaka brought home the other title, going 4-0 in singles competition and winning the C bracket singles tournament. Bouchlaka beat teammate Nawchali De Silva 7-6(1); 6-3 in the finals. De Silva finished with a 3-1 singles record and a 3-2 doubles record. De Silva paired with Dunya Stankovic from St. Mary's and made it to the B consolation finals where they lost 8-3 to SMC Harden/SM Kummer.
Other Pack scores include: Fiorella Velez 0-2, A singles QF consolation and 0-2 in doubles with Kristen Davenport; Kristen Davenport 2-2, B singles QF consolation and 0-2 in doubles with Velez; Audrey Bardot 0-1 (injury).
The Pack's next action will be the regional championships in Stanford, Calif., October 28-31.
