Four Wins for the Wolf Pack in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- The University of Nevada women's tennis team earned four wins on Friday on the third day of the ITA Mountain Region Women's Championships.

On the second day of play, the Wolf Pack picked up four victories, led by two from Michelle Okhremchuk. She defeated Kristi Elmer of Weber State 6-0, 6-3 in her second round singles match. In the third round, Okhremchuk cruised past Winde Janssens of Colorado 6-2, 6-3.

Emma Verbernealso notched two wins on the day. In the second round, she won two sets after dropping the first to Sasha Carter of Montana 6-7, 6-0, 6-4. In the third round, she defeated Johanna Vang of Northern Arizona in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.

Play resumes Saturday morning in Las Vegas with doubles action.
