Nevada Wins One on Rain-Shortened Day Two

LAS VEGAS -- The University of Nevada Women's tennis team earned one victory on a rain-shortened day on Thursday at the ITA Mountain Region Women's Tennis Championships.

Rain poured down on Thursday morning, forcing the second round of singles matches to be postponed until Friday. In the afternoon the rain stopped, and round two of doubles action was able to be played.

The round saw one Wolf Pack victory, when the team of Emma Verberne and Michelle Okhremchuk defeated the team of Bobbi Oshiro and Megan Lalone of Mountain West foe Boise State, 8-4.

Play will resume Friday morning; weather permitting, with two rounds of singles play.
