Women's Tennis Downs USF, 5-2

San Francisco, Calif. The Nevada women’s tennis team topped San Francisco 5-2 on Saturday at the Golden Gate Park Courts.


Nevada swept all three doubles matches to get the doubles point and won four of the six singles matches, with the two losses coming in three-set tie-breakers.


Freshman Maria Mizyuk continued to roll, getting a victory in the No. 1 spot and sophomore Caroline Bailly earned a straight-set win at the No.2 spot. Ly-Huong Dinh (No. 4) and Fiorella Velez (No. 6) were the other singles winners for Nevada.


Freshman Alice Hall, who had not played since the fall because of a leg injury, saw her first action of the dual season, teaming with Velez for a No. 3 doubles win.


Nevada will be back in action on Sunday at Pacific.
