Feb. 17, 2012

RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada women’s tennis team will play twice this weekend, taking on Seattle University Saturday at 9 a.m. and Oregon Sunday at 9 a.m. Both matches will be played in Eugene, Ore.

Nevada is 1-2 after one weekend of action. Seattle is 6-6, while Oregon is 4-2.

The Wolf Pack fell to Utah and BYU last week, earning its first win on Sunday with a sweep of Weber State.

Michelle Okhremchuk and newcomer Rymma Maslova have each one twice on the singles court this year. They earned Nevada’s two points in a 5-2 defeat to the Cougars. Okhremchuk has only lost once in her last nine matches.

Seattle opened up its season with a 7-0 defeat of Pacific Lutheran in October of 2011, getting an early start on the dual season. The Redhawks have won two matches in a row on two occasions this season. Last time out, Seattle fell to Montana 5-2.

Oregon swept Portland State in its last contest, after falling 6-1 to Stanford, the No. 2 team in the country. The Ducks also have wins against San Jose State, Portland and Pacific.
