RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team will hit the road for its first dual match of the year when it travels to face BYU this Friday at 9 A.M.
The Wolf Pack (0-0) will face the Cougars (2-0) in its first match since competing in the Beach Tennis Winter Invitational two weeks ago, where they earned a total of 13 wins in round robin style play. Leading the team was Michelle Okhremchuk and Emma Verberne, as they each earned two singles victories and three doubles victories together as a team. Sheila Smiley contributed two singles victories as well, while the team of Rymma Maslova and Monika Magusiak notched two doubles victories.
"We had strong play when we were down in Long Beach, and the team should come out firing on Friday," head coach Guillaume Tonelli said. "They're a tough team but we should be ready to go."
The match was originally scheduled to be played in Reno, Nev., but due to weather has been moved to Provo, Utah.
