Nevada Falls to No. 66 UC Davis
DAVIS, Calif. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team fell 6-1, to the No. 66 UC Davis Aggies Wednesday at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
The loss dropped Nevada, which had won three of its last four matches going into the contest, to 5-8 overall.
Davis jumped out to a 1-0 lead after doubles play, winning two of the three matches played to earn the point.
The singles win for the Wolf Pack came at the No. 3 position, where Lais Ogata defeated Ellie Edles. Sophie Stevens pushed her match to a third set at the No. 5 position, which was played as a ten point tiebreaker, where she fell 10-3.
Nevada will try to rebound from the defeat when they take on Wichita State at home Sunday.
