At Nevada: 2013-14 (Junior):Smiley totaled a 13-17 record in 2013-14, with a 10-11 mark in dual action ... She was 7-4 from court four during her junior season, and 2-3 in conference play ... She was 12-6 in doubles play with partner Juliette Legendre, while 9-5 from court two.2012-13 (Sophomore): Smiley was 10-16 in singles action on the year, including a 2-6 mark in conference play. In doubles, she was 8-17, playing mainly in the No. 3 position.

West Florida: Played one season for head coach Derrick Racine at Division II West Florida University ... Earned first-team all-Gulf South honors ... Played in the middle of the lineup (No. 3 and No. 4) in her debut season ... Helped the Argonauts to a birth in the NCAA Championships and a No. 9 national ranking ... Won 14 singles matches and was 5-1 within the Gulf South Conference ... A part of the Argos most successful doubles pair, going 17-5 alongside teammate Caitlyn Bates at the No. 1 position ... Also won two matches with Fernanda Amaral without a loss.

High School: A graduate of Bill Crothers Secondary School in Ontario, Canada ... Participated in the under-14 and under-16 National Championships ... Was sixth in the under-18 division at the 2009 Canadian Provincial Championships.

Personal: Daughter of Uiar Smiley ... Has one brother, Erol, 21 ... Chose Nevada over South Dakota and Murray State because of the Reno-Tahoe area and the overall strength of the Nevada program ... Most memorable sports moment was a three-set victory at UWF last season, when she won 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 in 95 degree heat ... Lists her sports hero as Marat Safin ... Enjoys watching movies and reality television in her spare time. She is a Finance major as well.
