Reno, Nev. University of Nevada sophomore swimmer Margaret Doolittle has been named to the ESPN The Magazine District 8 Academic Team as voted on by the Sports Information Directors in the district. Doolittle’s name will now appear on the national ballot in hopes of earning Academic All-America honors. She has a 3.97 grade point average in Supply Chain Management.

Doolittle, the 2008 Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year is from Sacramento, Calif. She won the 200-yard IM, 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke at the WAC meet and competed in those same three events at the NCAA Championships. The 2007 WAC Freshman of the Year helped guide the Wolf Pack to back-to-back conference titles.
