RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada swimming and diving team will welcome the Seattle Redhawks to the Lombardi pool Saturday, to compete in two dual meets. The first will begin at 11:45 a.m., with the second scheduled to begin at 1:30.
Saturday will be senior day for the Wolf Pack, as the program honors four outgoing student-athletes. Swimmers Amanda Caines, Karli Howe and Chelsey Larsen, as well as diver Melyssa Charlton, will be recognized in a ceremony prior to the second dual meet.
Nevada comes into the meets with a 3-1 dual record, while Seattle is 2-5.
The Pack has won its last three dual meets, defeating Pacific, Fresno State and Cal State East Bay. Its only loss came early this season, in a dual meet against San Jose State while both teams were at the George Haines Invitational.
Seattle fell to Simon Fraser and San Francisco in a double-dual meet its last time out.
After hosting its final event at home Saturday, Nevada will travel to the Western Athletic Conference Championships in San Antonio, Texas. The time trails for the conference event will be held on February 21, with the meet being held from February 22-25.
