Results

RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada swimming & diving team held its Silver & Blue intersquad meet on Friday evening at Lombardi Pool and the Silver team held on for a 117-115 victory.  The Silver team won seven of the 11 events in the meet.

Mengjiao Mi won three individual events to lead the winning team.  Mi won the 100, 200 and 1,000-yard freestyle events.  Diver Grace Huang was a double winner for the Silver squad taking first in the 1 and 3-meter divining events.

Two other members of the Silver squad Gabby Guieb in the 100-yard butterfly and Ashley Kunz in the 100-yard breaststroke swam to first place finishes.

Chavisa Thaveesupsoonthorn was a double winner for the Blue squad in the 100-yard backstroke and 400-yard IM.
The Blue team scored valuable points in taking first in the 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay.

Nevada opens the season competing at the George Haines Invitational, Oct. 14-15 in Palo Alto, Calif.
