Huang 13th After Day Two of Zones

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Nevada diver En Tien Huang is 13th after the one-meter dive at the Zone E Championships on Friday with 529.95 points. Huang was 15th after day one, scoring 285 points in the three-meter dive on Thursday.
Haley Ishimatsu (USC) is in first after the one-meter with a score of 612.25 points. Samantha Pickens of Arizona won the three meter with a score of 352.40 total points.
The top nine finishers at this year's event will earn a spot at the NCAA Championships, held from March 21-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The one-meter dive and platform dive will be Friday and Saturday, respectively, and will begin at 11 a.m. The finals of each event are currently slated to begin at 1:45 p.m.
Last season, Huang finished ninth in Zone E, which was one spot out of the NCAA's. With more women posting qualifying scores in Zone E this season, the total number of entrants will go up to nine. The Nevada junior was All-Mountain West in each discipline this season. At the Mountain West Championships, she finished eighth in the one-meter at 269.94, first in the three-meter at 339.30 and third in the platform event at 252.63.
