AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Continuing her march toward a potential birth at the NCAA Championships, Grace Huang finished sixth in the three-meter competition at the Zone E Diving Championships Friday with a score of 611.70.
Huang backed up a strong performance on the first day of the competition (8th in 1M, 532.80) with another on day two, putting herself in position to qualify for the NCAA event with a solid final day. The top eight competitors at the event, based on combined score in the three dives, (1M, 3M and Platform) will qualify.
Last season, Huang was seventh on the platform (459.55). She will need a similar performance Sunday to notch a spot in the top eight.
