Huang Eighth After Day One of Zone Championships

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Grace Huang was Nevada’s highest finisher on day one of the Zone E Diving Championships at the Air Force Academy Thursday, placing eighth in the one-meter finals with a score of 532.80.

The top eight competitors at the event, based on combined score in the three dives, (1M, 3M and Platform) will qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Stephanie Hansen was 18th, totaling 489.75 points for the final spot in the scored finals. Melyssa Charlton did not advance to the finals, scoring 230.15 points for 33rd place.

Last season Huang claimed ninth on the 3-meter (560.40) and 1-meter boards, (516.70) and seventh on the platform (459.55).

Men's One-Meter Prelims: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Men's Three-Meter Finals: 12:45-1:45 p.m.

Women's Three-Meter Prelims: 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Women's Three-Meter Finals: 1:45-2:45 p.m.
