Three Pack Divers Record Top-Five Finishes at Hawai'i Invite

Jan. 7, 2012

HONOLULU -- The University of Nevada diving team dominated the platform discipline at the Hawai'i Diving Invitational Saturday, occupying three of the top five spots.

Led by Grace Huang, who won the event with a score of 262.95, the Wolf Pack blitzed the field with four exceptional performances.

Stephanie Hansen finished second with a score of 253.20, followed by Melyssa Charlton in fifth at 201.55 and Jennifer Arnold in seventh with a score of 167.50.

This is the second consecutive time Huang has finished inside the top five in the platform discipline, as she finished fourth at the Wildcat Diving Invitational in late November.

Hansen, Charlton and Arnold supported Huang with strong performances Saturday as they have done all season. Each of the four has played an integral role in pushing the Wolf Pack to a 3-1 dual record and multiple conference diver of the week honors so far this season.

Saturday's action concluded the Invitational. As a team, Nevada will take to the pool again on January 28 against Seattle University.
