At Nevada: 2012-13 (Sophomore): Exceled in sprint backstroke events in her second season in Reno ... Was 13^th at the Mountain West Championships in the 100 back at 55.36 ... 17^th in the 200 back with a time of 2:00.83 ... Those times were good enough for the best among Nevada swimmers all season ... She also posted the best 50 back time among Pack swimmers, posting a 25.87 swim ... Competed in the Brazilian National Championships, making it through the first day of qualifying. 2011-12 (Freshman): Joined the Wolf Pack over winter break in 2011 ... Recorded multiple top-10 all-time times including eighth in the 100-yard backstroke ... Posted the year's fastest time in the 50-yard freestyle (24.32) and 100 and 200-yard backstroke (26.35 and 56.34).

Prior to Nevada: Swam for three seasons at Colegio Avamco in Sao Paulo, Brazil before joining the Pack.

Personal: Daughter of Jose Vieira and Silvama Padovam ... Chose Nevada over Wayne State for the strength of the Journalism school and its athletic programs ... Enjoys spending time with friends, traveling and taking photographs in her spare time.
