2011-12 Swimming and Diving

The team takes part in practice.

At Nevada: 2012-13 (Senior): Posted multiple top-five finishes in her final season, including a 5th in the 1,000-yard freestyle against New Mexico and a 5th in the 500 against San Jose State ... Did not compete at the season-endig WAC Championships. 2011-12 (Junior) Continued to be an integral part of the Pack in her third season ... Swam freestyle events and medley relay events ... Most of ther competition came in distance events. 2010-11 (Sophomore): Swam freestyle and individual medley events ... Top-times on the season came in the 500-yard (5:25.66) and 1000-yard (10:59.53) freestyle and 200-yard (2:19.32) and 400-yard (4:46.34) individual medley. 2009-10 (Freshman): Helped the Wolf Pack 200-yard freestyle relay team to a fifth place finish against UC Davis and a fourth place finish against Idaho ... Placed fourth in the 500-yard (5:17.58) and 1000-yard (10:49.71) freestyle events against UC Davis ... Took third in the 1000-yard freestyle against Fresno State with a time of 11:06.19 ... Finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:28.52) against Fresno State ... Placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle against Pacific with a time of 11:08.49.

High School: Earned four letters in swimming & diving at Galena High School in Reno, Nev., swimming for coaches Charlene Rigdon and Nonie Wainwright ... Received the Golden Heart award as the team's most vaulable swimmer ... Set a school record in the 200-yard freestyle her junior year ... Also holds school records in the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay ... Swam on state championship 200-yard freestyle relay ... Placed third at regionals in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle ... Swam for the Lakeridge Swim Team and coaches Alan and Sharon Weiss ... Won the mile swim at Western Zones in 2009 and won the 800-yard feestyle in 2008 at the same meet.

Personal: Chose Nevada because the girls on the team had a unique bond that she wanted to be a part of ... Enjoys hanging out with friends and family, shopping, taking pictures, skiing, wakeboarding, going to the beach and sitting around campfires ... Cousin Mike Donnelly played football for Nevada ... Grandfather played basketball for Santa Clara and her aunt was a gymnast at Stanford ... Lists her grandpa Joe as her sports hero ... Majoring in business management ... Daughter of Denise and Craig Vessie.
