2011-12 Winter Sports Honorees Announced

At Nevada: 2012-13 (Senior): Contributed to a number of Nevada's relay teams in her final season with the Pack ... Part of Nevada's 200-yard freestyle relay team against San Jose State that came in with a time of 1:46.51. 2011-12 (Junior): Competed in backstroke and relay events for Nevada in her third season in the Silver and Blue. 2010-11 (Sophomore): Swam on Nevada's medley and freestyle relay teams ... Competed individually in the backstroke and freestyle events ... Swam the 100-yard backstroke in 1:07.54 against No. 4 Cal to set a season-best in the event ... Her time of 2:22.94 in the 200-yard backstroke against Nebraska was a season-best time in the event. 2009-10 (Freshman): Earned Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year ... Named to the WAC Academic team.

High School: Graduated from TMCC High School in Sparks, Nev., but attended Reed High School in Reno, Nev. her freshman and sophomore years ... Graduated in the top 10 of her class ... Earned four swimming letters ... Team captain her senior year ... Led the 400-yard freestyle relay at state championships ... Also swam on the Sparks Piranhas club team ... Medaled in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events at the Long Course Junior Olympic Championship.

Personal: Daughter of Fred and Soheila Fotoohi ... Biochemistry major ... Enjoys boating, wakeboarding, snowboarding, reading, travelling, spending time with family and friends and attending sporting events with her brother, Jon, who is a big influence in her life in her spare time.
