RENO, Nev. – Three student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent to play for head coach Matt Meuchel and the Nevada softball program on Thursday. The 2016 class follows a 2015 recruiting class that will see immediate playing time on the field for the Wolf Pack this season. This trio will look to fill in the holes left by this year’s seniors.
“We had some significant departures from our program to address with the 2016 class due to losing several major producers on offense and our shortstop,” said Meuchel. “We feel that we have done a good job of addressing these issues with our 2016 class. Not only are we excited about the skill set offensively and defensively that each player brings to the table; we are very excited to be adding their toughness and competitiveness individually.”
“Kenzi is an athletic and versatile player. She has the skill set and athleticism to play corner infield or in the outfield. We anticipate that she will provide a ton of versatility to our defense. We are excited about the power and speed she will provide to our offense. As a local product she grew up a huge fan of the Wolf Pack fan and we look forward to her having a great career for us.” – Head coach Matt Meuchel
