RENO, Nev. – In an effort to fight pediatric cancer, the Nevada softball program has joined forces with Lace Up 4 Cancer and will be wearing special golden laces on its cleats for its series vs. Utah State.
“We’re really excited for the opportunity to ‘Lace Up’ for pediatric cancer,” Nevada head coach Josh Taylor said. “We want to be part of the program’s mission to improve the lives of children battling cancer and we are excited to help in any way possible.”
One of the overarching goals of Lace Up 4 Cancer is to help kids with the disease achieve their dreams and improve the lives of children who are fighting the battle. By providing financial support, along with developing and integrating unique programs to be implemented in hospitals, the organization is able to grant personal wishes to children and fund innovative research for cancer.
