Week four of the 2010 softball season takes the Nevada Wolf Pack to the Sooner State for four games ... Nevada will play Friday at Oklahoma against the No. 11/8 Oklahoma Sooners in Norman at 4 p.m. (Pacific) ... On Saturday, the Pack will be one of four teams in The Preview event at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. Nevada will play No. 14/17 Louisville at 8 a.m. (PST) and will then take on No. 25/24 Oklahoma State at 10:30 a.m. (PST) ... On Sunday, the Pack will travel to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State at 10 a.m. (PST) ... All four games this weekend will be carried on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM with audio also available at nevadawolfpack.com ... Nevada head coach Matt Meuchel spents two seasons (2007-08) as an assistant coach at Oklahoma State ... Nevada assistant coach Mel Meuchel was a graduate assistant at Oklahoma ... The Wolf Pack is picked to finish second in this year’s Western Athletic Conference race ... Nevada had three players on the Preseason All-WAC first team in Katie Holverson, Sam Bias and Noelle Micka ... Holverson, last year’s WAC Pitcher of the Year, is on the initial watch list for the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year Award ... The Wolf Pack returns five position-player starters and both pitchers from last year ... This is the second season under head coach Matt Meuchel ... Last year, the Wolf Pack went 40-19 in 2009 and won the WAC Championship with a 15-5 mark ... Nevada concluded the 2009 season at the NCAA Regional in Palo Alto, Calif.

This will be Nevada’s third game all-time against Oklahoma and the Sooners hold a 2-0 lead in the series ... This will be the Wolf Pack’s second meeting against Louisville and the Cardinals hold a 1-0 lead ... This will be the first-ever meetings between Nevada and Oklahoma State ... Nevada played Oklahoma and Louisville last year and dropped both contests.

Last year, Wolf Pack radio debuted on the radio in Northern Nevada and a select number of games will again be broadcast this year. Nevada’s games from the Stanford Nike Invitational (Feb. 20-21) and The Preview (March 5-7) as well as the Pack’s series at New Mexico State will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM (KHIT). Nevada’s game in the WAC Tournament and any postseason games will also be carried.
