Nevada's Games Canceled At Worth Invitational Friday

FULLERTON, Calif. - Rain continues to follow the Pack where ever they try to play softball. Rains in Southern California yesterday and today have cancelled this morning's games with some new contests to be re-scheduled for tonight, weather permitting.
Nevada (5-8) was to play Pacific at the Worth Invitational this morning at 9 a.m. and then take on Stanford at 11:15 a.m. Both have been canceled but the Pack will face Minnesota at approximately 8 p.m. at Golden Weset College, weather permitting, in a newly scheduled contest. One other game was scheduled away from the Fullerton site while all other games in the tournament were canceled.
Saturday's schedule at the Worth Invitational here has Nevada against Northwestern at 11:15 a.m. and vs. Bowling Green at 6 p.m. and then Sunday has Nevada facing No. 22 Oregon State at 11:15 a.m. to conclude the three-day tournament.
Nevada had a tournament at Arizona State cancelled Feb. 11-13 due to rain in the Phoenix area and then had to cancel newly scheduled games at St. Mary's and California in late February due to heavy rains in the Bay Area.
Nevada heads to Hawaii next week for a tournament March 10-11 against Virginia, Campbell, Notre Dame and Hawaii and then will play the Rainbow Wahine March 14-15 in the WAC openers in Honolulu.
